CPA and business attorney consultations
Professional guidance on taxes, business structure, legal questions and risks with licensed US specialists.
Most expensive mistakes in a US business do not come from complex law. They come from decisions made on advice from a forum or a group chat: the wrong entity, a contract missing key terms, a tax form nobody mentioned. Fixing them later costs far more than one conversation with the right specialist.
At Edeal you speak with US business specialists: a CPA for tax and accounting, a business attorney for legal questions, and a business advisor for strategy and tax planning. You get an answer built around your situation rather than generic advice, plus a recording of the meeting to come back to.
What's included
Services in this areaWhat to bring to each specialist
We match the specialist to the subject of your question:
- CPA. Individual and business taxes in the US, bookkeeping, tax reporting, financial risk, tax and financial planning.
- Business attorney. Corporate documents, contracts with employees, partners and clients, partnership matters, employment issues, intellectual property and trademarks, disputes, mediation and court representation.
- Business advisor. Growing and scaling a US business, strategic decisions for owners, business model optimization, business-level tax planning and Amazon businesses.
Consultation or strategy session
A consultation works when you have specific questions. The specialist reviews your list in advance and works through it during the paid time. In-depth document review, legal research or preparing a formal tax or legal position is not part of a standard consultation and is billed separately.
A strategy session is for when you need a plan rather than a quick answer. The specialist prepares for an hour beforehand, the session itself runs two hours, and afterwards you receive a written summary and a step-by-step action plan.
What you receive
- a video recording of the meeting;
- follow-up questions on the same topic, up to 15 minutes of the specialist's time;
- after a strategy session, a summary and a step-by-step plan;
- the option to add specialist hours if the work goes beyond that.
- Tax consultations and sessions come with a guarantee: if the meeting did not actually take place and your questions were not answered, we refund 100% of the fee.
How it works
- Intro call. 20 minutes, free. We discuss your goal and terms and pick the right format and specialist.
- Preparation. You send your questions and any documents needed. For legal consultations, the required agreements are signed in advance.
- Meeting. The specialist runs the consultation or strategy session online, recorded.
- Follow-through. Recording, plus summary and plan for sessions. If you want, we can then handle the work itself: tax returns, bookkeeping or company documents.
Topics we do not cover
To save your time, here is what is outside our scope: FDA matters, automotive law, personal injury, licensing, insurance and immigration law. If your question falls into one of these areas, we will tell you before you pay.
Not sure what to ask yet? Start with the free company check. It highlights risk areas in taxes, filings and documents that are worth raising with a specialist.
FAQ
Is the consultation free?
The 20-minute intro call, where we discuss your goal and choose the format, is free. Specialist consultations and strategy sessions are paid, and the fee depends on the format.
Who chooses the specialist?
We do, based on the subject of your question. For tax questions we also consider your status, whether you live in the US or abroad.
How is a consultation different from a strategy session?
A consultation gives targeted answers to your questions without in-depth preparation. A strategy session includes specialist preparation, two hours of work together and a step-by-step plan afterwards.
What should I prepare?
A list of questions and any documents the topic requires. For a tax strategy session this usually means prior returns, a P&L and an overview of your business structure.
Do you work with founders who live outside the US?
Yes. We advise entrepreneurs and companies that run or plan to run a business in the US, wherever the owner lives.
What if I have more questions afterwards?
You can ask follow-up questions on the same topic within 15 minutes of the specialist's time. For anything larger, additional hours are available.
