Tax returns for companies and individuals
Preparing and filing US tax reports for companies and individuals per IRS requirements and your status.
US tax filing obligations depend on your company's structure and the owner's status, not on whether you made money. A single-member LLC with a foreign owner reports to the IRS from its first year, even with no activity. A C-Corp files as a taxpayer in its own right. And a non-resident owner with US-connected income may owe a personal return as well.
Edeal prepares and files tax returns for companies and individuals. The work is done by licensed professionals, CPAs and an Enrolled Agent. We identify which forms the IRS expects from you, collect the data, prepare the returns and file them on time.

Services in this areaWhich forms the IRS expects
Your filing set follows your company profile. Typically:
- Single-member LLC, foreign owner: pro forma Form 1120 with Form 5472, plus a personal Form 1040-NR if there is US-connected income.
- Multi-member LLC: Form 1065 and a Schedule K-1 for each member; foreign partners add Forms 8804 and 8805.
- C-Corporation: Form 1120, with the company paying its own tax.
- S-Corporation: Form 1120-S and K-1s. Only US residents can be S-Corp shareholders.
- Single-member LLC, US resident owner: no separate company return; income flows to the personal Form 1040.
- Your exact list is confirmed by a specialist, since the tax year, state and company facts all matter.
Form 5472: the classic non-resident trap
Form 5472 is required for a foreign-owned LLC from its first year, regardless of revenue. It is often missed because owners assume no income means nothing to file. The IRS assesses a penalty for each missing or incomplete form.
If 5472 was not filed for prior years, the exposure keeps building, and the sooner it is fixed, the cheaper it is. Read our guide to Form 5472, or if a penalty has already arrived, how to appeal it.
Plan before December 31
A tax return records what already happened. Many decisions that legally lower your tax have to be made before December 31: how the business is set up, when to make large purchases, how you pay yourself, which expenses you track. By spring they are locked in.
That is why we suggest starting with preparation: a consultation on a specific question or a tax planning strategy session that ends with a step-by-step plan. First we see what can still change, then we file.
What we handle

How the process works
- Intro call. 20 minutes, free. We go over your situation and gather questions so the specialist's time goes to your return.
- Profile and documents. We confirm the forms and send a document list: bank statements, P&L, prior returns, ownership and owner payment details.
- Preparation. A specialist prepares the return and reviews it with you.
- Filing and beyond. We file on time, set the next deadlines and, if needed, add bookkeeping.
Received an IRS letter?
IRS and state notices come with strict response deadlines, so they should not sit in a drawer. Send the letter to us: we work out what the IRS wants and, if needed, arrange a call to the IRS with interpretation. We prepare you for the questions they are likely to ask, interpret the conversation and send a written summary with next steps.
FAQ
Do I need to file if my LLC had no income?
For a foreign-owned single-member LLC, yes. A pro forma Form 1120 with Form 5472 is due from the first year, even with no activity. For other structures, it depends on the company profile.
When are US tax returns due?
For a calendar tax year, typically: Forms 1065 and 1120-S by March 15; Form 1120 and Form 5472 with a pro forma 1120 by April 15; Form 1040-NR without US wages by June 15. Deadlines move when they fall on a weekend or holiday.
Do you work with non-residents?
Yes. We work with owners of US companies who live in the US and abroad, and apply the rules that fit your specific situation.
Who prepares the returns?
Licensed Edeal professionals: CPAs and an Enrolled Agent.
What if I missed filings for prior years?
Catch up as early as possible, since the exposure grows over time. We identify which forms are missing and prepare them.
Does an LLC owner need an ITIN?
If the owner has to file a personal US return, an ITIN is required. We can help you get one.
